Anxious in Public: Comics dish about real-life tough stuff

As part of the Brooklyn Book Festival, three cartoonists with legions of online fans will take the stage at St. Francis College on Sunday to discuss how they’ve used their talents and their senses of humor to express difficult feelings and to broach tough topics, like mental illness, relationships and motherhood.

Catana Chetwynd (“Little Moments of Love”), Adam Ellis (“Super Chill: A Year of Living Anxiously”) and Lucy Knisley (“Kid Gloves: Nine Months of Careful Chaos”) will take part in the panel, which will be moderated by cartoonist Connie Sun.

The event starts at 1 p.m. on Sept. 22 at 180 Remsen St. As part of the book fest, the dialogue is free and open to the public.
