As part of the Brooklyn Book Festival, a panel of big-name writers will convene at Books are Magic in Cobble Hill to discuss their work. Specifically, they’ll be delving into their writing’s reflection of desire, taboo and the ways our deepest secrets rule our relationships.
The panel will feature Lisa Taddeo, author of the New York Times bestseller “Three Women.” Romance writer Casey McQuiston will be on hand to discuss her debut novel, “Red, White & Royal.” Carmen Maria Machado, author of the story collection and National Book Award finalist “Her Body and Other Parties,” will also join the discussion.
Brooklyn-based writer Ashley C. Ford will moderate the panel. Ford’s memoir, “Somebody’s Daughter,” details her fraught relationship with her incarcerated father, and is forthcoming from Flatiron Books.
The discussion is an official event of the Brooklyn Book Festival, and is free and open to the public. The panel will begin at 5 pm on September 22 at Books are Magic in Cobble Hill.
