The borough’s largest literary event is happening this weekend. The Brooklyn Book Fest will showcase nearly 300 authors, a lively Children’s Day, panel discussions and over 250 booksellers in a vibrant outdoor literary marketplace. Big names in literature, including Alexander Chee, Ted Chiang, Susan Choi, Jonathan Safran Foer, Marlon James, Joyce Carol Oates and more, will take the stage, discuss their work and meet their fans. 

Children’s Day is Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at MetroTech Commons. Bring the kids for author readings, art workshops, a picture book tent and a young reader’s stage. 

Festival Day is Sunday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the vicinity of Borough Hall. Come to see big names in literature, including Alexander Chee, Ted Chiang, Susan Choi, Jonathan Safran Foer, Marlon James, Joyce Carol Oates and more, will take the stage, discuss their work.
