This week at Park Slope’s Community Bookstore

Community Bookstore in Park Slope will be hosting two exciting events this week. Tomorrow, Jan. 8, Vol. 1 Brooklyn presents Adrian Van Young, who will appear to celebrate his debut collection “The Man Who Noticed Everything.” Adam Wilson, author of “Flatscreen,” and Rivka Galchen, author of “Atmospheric Disturbances,” will join in celebrating as well.

The event begins at 7pm. Community Bookstore is located at 143 7th Avenue in Park Slope.

 

On Thursday, Jan. 10, Community Bookstore presents “Brooklyn By The Book” at Congregation Beth Elohim. Andrew Soloman, author of “Far From The Tree,” will appear in conversation with Laurie Muchnick, Book Review Editor at Bloomberg News. Soloman, a National Book Award winner, has explored the implications of being born “far from the tree,” offering readers a moving book on complicated familial relationships.  The event is free for CBE members/$10 suggested donation from the public.
