As part of the Brooklyn Book Festival, Pulitzer Prize finalist Susan Choi will take the stage with bestselling author Meg Wolitzer at St. Francis College Sept. 22. The writers will discuss their work, how they developed their voice, built their careers and honed their craft. New Yorker staff writer Katy Waldman will moderate the discussion.
Susan Choi’s second 2003 novel “American Woman” was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in literature. Her latest novel, “Trust Exercise,” is a coming-of-age story about class differences and a bitter breakup published this year by Henry Holt. Choi lives in Brooklyn.
Meg Wolitzer is a Brooklyn-born novelist and author of the 2018 bestseller “The Female Persuasion,” that contrasts feminists of different generations through its characters.
The event begins at 10 a.m. at 180 Remsen St. and is free and open to the public.
