PEN America has a calendar packed with literary events in store for Brooklynites this weekend. Lit Crawl NYC is happening this Saturday at Cobble Hill businesses ranging from bookstores, to ice cream shops to a tattoo parlor, and will feature themed readings, trivia, an editing workshop, a visual storytelling event on the crack epidemic, an afterparty and more!
The lit crawl was conceived to celebrate Brooklyn’s rich literary history. Brooklyn authors past and present will be in attendance, including Elisabet Velasquez, Andrews Chulisi Rodriguez, Rachel Lyon, Julia Philips and others. Neighborhood businesses hosting Lit Crawl events include Books are Magic, Malai Ice Cream, Bien Cuit, Brooklyn Social and more.
Lit Crawl NYC is presented by PEN America and Books are Magic. All events will take place in Cobble Hill on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. For more info, visit pen.org.
