As part of the Brooklyn Book Festival, authors Nicole Dennis-Brown (“Patsy”), Casey Gerald (“There Will Be No Miracles Here”), and T Kira Madden (“Long Live the Tribe of Fatherless Girls”) will join Alexander Chee (“How to Write an Autobiographical Novel”) to discuss books that explore coming-out stories — and how other aspects of identity, like race and class, shape our sense of what coming out even means.
The conversation will be presented alongside “The End of Eddy,” a play produced by BAM and based on Édouard Louis’ autobiographical novel.
This free event will be held in a Borough Hall Courtroom at 209 Joralemon St. at 11 a.m. on Sept. 22 as part of the Brooklyn Book Festival.
