The Center will also be honoring several writers throughout the fall, including the next group of Emerging Writer Fellows, the winner of the Bridge Book Award, and the winner of the First Novel Prize. The First Novel Prize announcement will take place at the Annual Awards Benefit on December 7th, which this year will also be a celebration of The Center for Fiction’s 200th Anniversary.

On October 1st, The Center’s Reading Room, Lounge, Terrace, and Library will fully reopen to members. The bookstore cafe will also be reopening this fall, serving specialty coffee and espresso drinks, artisanal baked goods, seasonal small plates, wine, and beer. The Center is implementing COVID safety protocols to ensure that its community is safe, and is thrilled to continue its mission of serving as a home for readers and writers.
